ANASTASIA MURRELL

Anastasia Murrell originally from the Tampa Bay area in Florida, began tattooing in Wilmington, North Carolina in 2022. She first came to tattooing from the other side of the counter, working the front desk at a shop starting in 2021, where she fell for the culture and process of the trade and learned the back end of it before being offered an apprenticeship. Her work is primarily black and grey traditional. Early on she stayed close to classic flash imagery with small updates of her own, and has since moved toward romantic, folk-leaning subject matter pulled from books and the things she runs into in everyday life. What matters most to her is that every client walks out with a quality tattoo they're proud to wear, and that they feel heard and welcome. When she's not tattooing, she's making acrylic paintings, both tattoo-related and not, climbing, reading, or spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking
